Dr Gary Campbell is the Dean of Science, Health and Engineering with an overall responsibility for ensuring that the university is able to deliver its programmes in the best possible manner. This means working with faculty and technical colleagues to make sure that our teaching models are fully supported.
Previous experience includes teaching at Inverness and Moray Colleges, management of undergraduate programmes, academic middle management and subject network leading. External experience includes lecturing and research at Aberdeen and Sheffield Universities, as well as working at Newton Rigg College and teaching the long-term unemployed.
Previously an environmental scientist specialising in climate change his current focus is working with university partners, programmes and the faculties to enhance the student learning experience. He leads the university Educational Development Unit and the Learning and Teaching Academy.
