Core modules are:

  • Introduction to restorative practices in different settings
  • Origins of restorative justice
  • Implementing restorative policies in practice
  • International perspectives in restorative practice

Study options

  • Part time
  • You will study this course online, through the UHI virtual learning environment (VLE), and you will participate in online discussions, forums and group exercises, which will count towards your overall performance
  • You will receive support from expert staff at the Centre for Rural Childhood, Perth College UHI
  • You must also participate in an induction at the start of your course, either via Skype, or face-to-face in Perth
  • This course has been approved for in-country international delivery. It may also be studied by international students based within the UK.

How long will my course last?

Part time: 1 year @ 12-16 hours per week

What can I do on completion of my course?

  • This course in Restorative Practice will equip those already working in youth justice, social work, criminal justice, mediation, and neighbourhood and housing services for career progression
  • The PgCert will equip you for taking on greater responsibility in your workplace or to prepare for advanced study in this discipline
