Mandatory units are:

  • Structure of the travel and tourism industry
  • Applying marketing principles in travel and tourism
  • Providing information on the Scottish tourism product
  • Creating a culture of customer care
  • Developing skills for personal effectiveness
  • Graded unit 1: tourism

Optional units may include:

  • Hospitality financial and control systems
  • Food hygiene: intermediate
  • Food and beverage service
  • Accommodation servicing
  • International tourist destinations
  • Retail travel practice
  • Communication-analysing and presenting complex communication
  • Using software application packages
  • Hospitality front office procedures 1
