Successful engagement with the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education module will enable participants to demonstrate engagement with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) that is appropriate to fulfilling the requirements for becoming an Associate Fellow of the HEA.
As part of this process, you will engage online in a range of activities that are focused on effective learning, teaching and assessment practices, and including activities that are specifically focused on the UKPSF and your own direct engagement with the UKPSF.
Part of this process involves completing a Reflective Narrative Matrix which is designed for you to demonstrate specifically where your engagement with the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education module aligns with the three dimensions of the UKPSF.

The timescale of receiving Associate Fellow of the HEA on route one is dependent on the time it takes to complete your studies.
Registering for your Studies
Registering for ALPINE does not in any way register you on to the Teaching and Learning in Tertiary and Higher Education Module, this must be done separately through the link below, and the applicant being formally accepted before studies can commence.

Fees and Funding
Part funding for the module is available through the Staff Development (SD1) fund. SD1 funding can cover 50% of the total cost of the module with the other 50% being matched by your own Academic Partner.
The 2016-17 staff development application forms can be downloaded from: https://intranet.uhi.ac.uk/sdfund.
Academic Partner staff should email applications to their staff development officer (SDO). Executive Office staff should email applications to their line manager.
Funding must be in place prior to the start date.
