A number of Academic Partners offer you access to the Single Print Service at UHI, which allows you to print your documents when you are away from your home partner/college.
Single Print Service partners
- Argyll College (Launching Q1 2018)
- Inverness College
- Lews Castle College
- Moray College
- North Highland College
- Perth College
- University of the Highlands and Islands – School of Health
- West Highland College
Users from these sites can use the mobile print service print.uhi.ac.uk to print documents when they are away from their academic partner/college and visiting one of the above listed academic partners/colleges.
Single Print Service is not currently available to users from or visiting the following partners
- NAFC Marine Centre
Users from these sites will need to contact local ICT support or Library departments at the site they are visiting to make local print arrangements. Similarly, users visiting these partners from the participating Single print partner site list will need to speak to ICT / Library teams to make arrangements.
Your print credit, that is your initial balance of printing, is set by your Academic partner/college. This will be communicated to you at your student induction.
Your print blance can be seen by clicking on £ icon in your system tray:
The cost to print is set by your academic partner, regardless of where you print your documents. So the cost to use the print.uhi.ac.uk service is the same as the charges set by your academic partner. Your Balance will be deducted regardless of where you print, but the charge will only apply if you collect the print.
Topping up your print credit
Please refer to your student induction as to how you top up your print credit. Your print credit top up must be made with your academic partner and cannot be done when visiting other sites. An online payment system is under development and will be launched in the near future.
Printing on the move
You can now print at the single print service partners (providing you are registered to one of them) using the mobile print service visit print.uhi.ac.uk to use this inter-site service.
You can only use this service to print between sites who are participating.
The service defaults to single side, black and white copies to ensure you get the cheapest printing option every time.
You can also use this service to send prints from your home, mobile phone, laptop and tablet devices. They will stay in the system for 3 days, so if you don’t collect them, don’t worry, you won’t get charged for them.
You need to upload your documents to print them and then collect your secure printing as normal, using either your ID Card if issued or by putting in your log on details onto the printer.
