Archaeologists pull in the festival-goers
Issued 10 August 2011
Orkney’s own “time team” pulled in the crowds at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
Archaeological interpreter Tony Sherratt brought the past to life with the help of Julie Gibson, centre, and Dr Jane Downes from the archaeology department at Orkney College UHI.
The university – which has recently launched a new undergraduate archaeology degree – was one of the sponsors of the festival, near Beauly, last weekend.
