This event will look at both the challenges and the opportunities emerging for companies interested in the supply chain for the rapidly growing sustainable energy industry.

By taking part, you will:

  • Gain new trading opportunities in the sustainable energy sector
  • Find out how other  companies are working in the supply chain
  • Make valuable links with organisations in the North Sea and Baltic regions

Enterprise Europe Network Scotland business partnering offers a valuable targeted networking opportunity, enabling prearranged half-hour, one-to-one meetings with companies of your choice.  Around 50 sustainable energy companies from across the North Sea and Baltic regions are expected to register for the partnering event and use it to increase their trading opportunities.

Enterprise Europe Network Scotland has a proven track record of helping Scottish companies take advantage of European opportunities, with free services available to all Scottish businesses.  Mairi Wickett, co-founder of Witt Energy Solutions, said: “Enterprise Europe Network Scotland has been of huge assistance to us in promoting our new technology, and was instrumental in helping us enter a major consortium deal in Spain and Portugal.”

The conference will highlight how companies from various regions are working in the supply chain, as well as showing the benefits of joining the European Business Support Network. This is a collection of online and offline service providers which offers a self assessment tool, training programmes, tendering platform and contractual guidance. It links with the Enterprise Europe Network to increase innovative business across the European supply chain.

Speakers include:

  • Connie Hedegaard, European Commissioner for Climate Action
  • Catrinus Jepma, Scientific Director of the Energy Delta Research Centre
  • Companies from various parts of the supply chain from across Europe
