Dr. Rudy Rosen
Dr. Rudolph “Rudy” Rosen, is a Visiting Professor and Director of the Institute for Water Resources Science and Technology at Texas A&M University in San Antonio and a Fellow of The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University.
He is a former Director of Wildlife, Fisheries and Coastal Resources for Texas Parks and Wildlife and was Executive Director of Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. He has chaired the Gulf and Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commissions and was President of the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. He is a Certified Fisheries Scientist and was elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists. He has been an executive leader of three of the largest national and international science-driven nonprofit wildlife organizations and has degrees from Penn State, South Dakota State, and the University of Massachusetts. He specializes in leadership and fundraising for nonprofit, government and university organizations. He has over 500 articles, presentations, testimony, and blogs on science and policy, and has served on over 130 professional bodies and committees. He recently wrote a textbook on fundraising for the environment, Money for the Cause, and Texas Aquatic Science a textbook for high-school and university students, both peer-reviewed and published by Texas A&M University Press.
