Business Development Manager
The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) provides university-level education through a unique partnership of thirteen colleges and research institutions located throughout the Highlands & Islands.
To support our work we have created this new role within the UHI Management School.
Business Development Manager
£26,994 - £31,292 pa
(Fixed term to 31 March 2013)
You will work with the Head of School and other key staff to support the development of the Management School, through identifying commercial projects in line with Faculty and other corporate priorities as well as reflecting the priorities of external stakeholders. This new role is critical to the development of the School as it seeks to grow the range of commercial programmes and projects it is involved with, helping strengthen its financial and business sustainability and its contribution to the University.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in both a business development role and also further and higher education, a proven track record in initiating, developing and delivering on projects as well as strong management and communication skills. They should also be able to organise and prioritise their own workload, working often to tight deadlines and also be accurate and meticulous in the work they produce.
