Argyll student life
Argyll College UHI is located throughout the mainland and islands of Argyll, an area of outstanding natural beauty and contrast, with close links to both the Highlands and Islands, and Central Belt of Scotland. The college is made up of 13 well-equipped learning centres spread across the region.
Staff at Argyll College UHI learning centres will provide a list of local accommodation providers in their area and will help you to find somewhere suitable to live while you are studying.
Sports and social life
The major towns of Argyll, including Dunoon, Oban and Lochgilphead, provide a full range of shops, cafes, night life, sports and leisure facilities. These include:
- Benmore Gardens and Waterside Pool, Cowal
- Atlantis Leisure Centre, Oban
- Crinan Canal, Mid Argyll
- Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute
Argyll is also a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast, with world-class surfing on Tiree and golf at Machrihanish and Kilkenzie.
