Healthy Body Healthy Mind
In 2017-18, the University and Highlands and Islands Student Association (HISA) participated in the Healthy Body Healthy Mind awards for the first time and were delighted to be awarded a 2 star.
The awards are a partnership initiative between NUS Scotland and Scottish Student Sport to promote and raise awareness of the link between sports, physical activity, smoking prevention and mental health. This is done with the university and HISA working closely together on projects which aim to bring about practical change across the institution.
The University and its academic partners are delighted to participate in the awards once again in 2018-19 and hope to do even better this year.
To meet the criteria of the awards, a number of events are being planned across the institution, all of which relate to the themes of sports, physical activity, smoking prevention and mental health.
