Online enrolment

UHI Records is a web service that allows students and staff to view and update UHI student data. Students can also use this facility to enrol to their courses without having to attend the college in person.  Please log on to online enrolment and “pre-enrol” for your course.

Student on-line enrolment FAQs (pdf)

Why is this better than filling in a form?

It has been estimated that enrolling using the online tool takes approximately five minutes.  The system stores your data in year one and if you have answered a question (where the data will not change) you will not be asked it again throughout your studies.  This will make enrolling much quicker than completing a form.  Data input takes staff 15-20 minutes (transferring the data from a paper form to the Student Database) and enrolling on line will mean this does not have to take place. The data will be more accurate and more complete. It means students can ensure we are holding the correct information.

Enrolment before you attend college will also reduce queues at the administration offices in induction week and you’ll be able to get your ID card etc much more quickly.

What else can UHI Records do?

The student hub is new on UHI Records.  This is a one stop shop where you can check module/unit results, contact your advisor, change your address or print out transcripts.  We may also ask you to check and update your details throughout the year.  We will always contact you by email to your student email account so make sure you keep an eye on that regularly.

If you have any questions about on-line enrolment, drop an email to SRO@uhi.ac.uk.

Do I need to know anything else?  Continuing students please read….

In previous years, when applying for funding, students would identify themselves with their UHI college or campus, when asked for their institution. However, continuing students applying for SAAS funding from 2012 onwards will only have the option to pick 'UHI'. This means that the SAAS computer thinks that continuing students have changed institution.

Therefore, when continuing students are asked "have you changed institutions" (the exact wording may be different), you need to click "yes". SAAS have assured us that this will have no impact on your funding.
