  • The North Highland College was founded in 1959 to deliver education in the Caithness community as Thurso Technical College.
  • The college was renamed as Thurso College in 1991, then finally The North Highland College UHI (NHC) in 1999, reflecting the growth of the college.
  • NHC has campuses in Thurso, Wick, Alness and Dornoch, each with its own distinctive curriculum profile.
  • There are currently around 8,000 students learning at NHC.
  • Students can study in a variety of ways, including full-time, part-time, evening, day release, blended learning, work-based and online.
