The North Highland College was founded in 1959 to deliver education in the Caithness community as Thurso Technical College.
The college was renamed as Thurso College in 1991, then finally The North Highland College UHI (NHC) in 1999, reflecting the growth of the college.
NHC has campuses in Thurso, Wick, Alness and Dornoch, each with its own distinctive curriculum profile.
There are currently around 8,000 students learning at NHC.
Students can study in a variety of ways, including full-time, part-time, evening, day release, blended learning, work-based and online.
