A spectacular educational setting and an equally spectacular social life

  • Sabhal Mòr Ostaig UHI is the only Gaelic-medium college in the world, set in the breathtaking scenery of the Isle of Skye off Scotland's west coast
  • The college was founded in 1973 and since then has forged an international reputation for regenerating the Gaelic language and the local economy on Skye
  • Sabhal Mòr is a small and friendly college with a fantastic social community built around the local outdoor environment and the music that is a fundamental part of college life
  • The college now offers a range of courses from Gaelic language to music, media studies and business and culture studies, right up to postgraduate and research level
  • The latest extension to the Sabhal Mòr campus is Fàs, meaning growth, the new centre for creative and cultural industries providing state-of-the-art facilities for the development of the arts, culture, film, broadcasting and new media
