Neil Stewart, appointed governor | Riaghladair Foghlaim Adhartach

Neil Stewart grew up in Kintore, Aberdeenshire. He took his undergraduate degree, a BA (Hons) in Government Policy and Management at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. He then went on to complete an MLitt in Middle East Security at the University of Aberdeen.

He began working at NHS Grampian in 2007 where he held various roles in the Procurement Department before moving to Inverness in 2013 to work for NHS Highland as the Head of Procurement.

Neil joined the Board of Inverness College UHI in 2014, and has served as the Chair of the Board since January 2016. He is also a member of the university's Further Education Regional Board and was appointed to the university court with his term beginning in August 2017.

Neil is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a qualified member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
