Paid opportunities for Women in STEM

content

We are working together with Equate Scotland to address barriers faced by women in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). We have an exciting opportunity for 4x STEM students to take up student champion positions in collaboration with our Senior UHI STEM Femmes.

By getting involved, you will gain industry contacts, experience, practical skills and valuable evidence for your CV, as well as helping other women in your subject area to express and overcome barriers, and making a bit of extra money!

Your tutors can advise and support you with events that you wish to put on and goals you would like to achieve, as can the University Equality and Diversity Advisor.  Our group of staff and industry champions can share their expertise with the team, driving our work forward and helping us lead the way in facilitating gender equality in STEM subjects.

If you study Computing; Science/ Marine Science; Audio Engineering; Engineering; Forestry & Environmental Science; Construction/ built environment we would love to hear from you! Please review the full role description, privacy notice, and complete our online application form to apply.

Details on what Equate, the university and STEM Hub require from you in return for payment are detailed below :
