Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The University of the Highlands and Islands aims to facilitate economic growth, both for the Highlands and Islands and for Scotland.
We are doing this through engagement with business and industry to develop courses that will provide the necessary skills and expertise to secure Scotland’s future economic success.
We work with businesses across Scotland to provide high quality, flexible courses and training opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD). We have expertise in delivering training for private sector organisations, including LifeScan Scotland, and public sector bodies, such as NHS Scotland and the Highland Council.
Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine Programme (ScotGEM) is a unique and innovative 4-year graduate entry medical programme tailored to meet the contemporary and future needs of NHS Scotland. ScotGEM is designed to develop doctors interested in a career as a generalist practitioner within NHS Scotland but with a focus on rural medicine and healthcare improvement.
The majority of our courses can be studied on a part-time and module-by-module basis, so no matter in which industry you work, you can take your career to the next stage with formal qualifications relevant to your employment or business.
