If you are looking to develop key leadership and project management skills within a public sector environment then this course is for you. It is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and designed in partnership with public sector organisations.
You will discover how to improve performance and service delivery, as well as learning new ways to manage teams and budgets effectively. You will also consider ways to work collaboratively with other partners across the public and private sectors to provide better local services.
There are no formal entry requirements but you should have experience working in a middle or senior management role within the public sector.
Part time (structured)
You will study this course online through the UHI virtual learning environment (VLE) with support from tutors.
Part time: 12-18 months @ 6 to 8 hours per week
Number of hours per week indicates the total number of hours you should dedicate to the course, which includes time spent in lectures and your own time spent on individual study and research.

The CMI Diploma in Public Service Leadership will give you all the tools and skills you need to progress within the public sector and deliver an excellent standard of local service to the community.
