How to donate
A quick, easy and secure way to make a donation by debit/credit card or direct debit:
Please print and complete our Donation Form and return to us. You can make a single gift by cheque or a regular gift by Direct Debit.
If you would like us to send you a donation form, please contact us.
Maximise the impact of your gift.
If you are a UK taxpayer, your gift can be worth even more, at no extra cost to you. Just by signing the Gift Aid Declaration when you make your donation, HM Revenue and Customs will increase every £1 you give by 25p. So therefore, a donation of £100 is actually worth £125 to the university.
You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that we reclaim on your donations in the tax year. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief on your Self-Assessment tax return.
Leaving a legacy
Remembering the University of the Highlands and Islands in your will has a lasting impact on the university. Your gift will support the future of our students, contribute towards excellence in research and help the continuation of higher education in our region.
We advise that anyone thinking of giving in this way to discuss the legalities with their solicitor in the first instance.

“It came as a bit of a surprise to find out that my regular small donation had been going for so long, but perhaps that’s the point – £5 or £10 a month is relatively painless and builds up, if enough of us do it. I particularly like being involved in helping students do things outside their course work – it’s what being at uni is all about.”
Thomas Prag, who received a dedicated donor award for 10 years of regular giving.
