How to donate
During this time we are unable to process donations made by post or phone, however you can still make a donation by bank transfer or online - we greatly appreciate your support.
Maximise the impact of your gift.
If you are a UK taxpayer* your gift can be worth even more, at no extra cost to you. Just by signing the Gift Aid declaration every £1 you give will increase by 25p. So,
a donation of £100 is actually worth £125 to the university.
*You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that we reclaim on your donations in the tax year. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief on your Self-Assessment tax return.
Leaving a legacy
Remembering the University of the Highlands and Islands in your will has a lasting impact on the university. Your gift will support the future of our students, contribute towards excellence in research and help the continuation of higher education in our region.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss leaving a legacy to the university.
“It came as a bit of a surprise to find out that my regular small donation had been going for so long, but perhaps that’s the point – £5 or £10 a month is relatively painless and builds up, if enough of us do it. I particularly like being involved in helping students do things outside their course work – it’s what being at uni is all about.”
Thomas Prag, who received a dedicated donor award for 10 years of regular giving.
