UHI Servicedesk create short bitesize training videos on systems specific to the university and some common problems users might be experiencing.
Lynda.com is now available to all HE Students and all staff. Staff requiring access for FE students should speak to John Smith in the first instance.
To access Lynda.com use your UHI Login ID. This online training resource has thousands of training videos for both personal and professional development. You can build playlists for yourself, teams and colleagues to provide tailored and focused development whether it be new software, dealing with software problems or getting a heads up on some forthcoming software launches.
From time to time, UHI Servicedesk will also publish recommended playlists for new software or corporate training requirements which are available through Lynda.com.

What is MyUHI?
MyUHI lets you login to a virtual environment via Citrix to access your files and applications as if you were logging into a physical computer at the University/College/work place. MyUHI requires you to log into the service using your normal user name and password.

is the ticket logging system used by the University of the Highlands and Islands and its partners.
You can use the helpdesk system to log your own tickets to us, check progress on your tickets that have been raised as well as search for a fix/answer within the FAQs area.

The University is now able to offer all staff and students, with a @uhi.ac.uk email account, the ability to download Microsoft Office 365 for free. This can be installed on up to 5 devices, and on a number of different operating systems.

What is Cisco Webex Teams?
Cisco Webex Teams is the standard 'Personal VC' software used by The University of the Highlands and Islands. This software can be used by internal and external participants wishing to join our conferences from their PC/Laptop.
Note: Cisco made a decision to re-brand 'Cisco Spark' and as such they have renamed it to 'Cisco Webex Teams'. Cisco Spark is the application that is used on most college machines at the moment with a view to have this updated to Cisco Webex Teams. For now the functionality of Cisco Webex Teams remains the same as Cisco Spark.
