On the week of the Highland’s largest creative industries festival Xpo North, we’re delighted to be joined by Robert Davidson, Managing Director of Dingwall based Sandstone Press. Winners of the 2014 Saltire Society Publisher of the Year Award, Sandstone Press was established in 2002 based on the firm belief that an international publishing house could be based in the Highlands of Scotland. Books published by the company have won or been shortlisted for many literary prizes including the Man Booker, Commonwealth, Arthur C Clarke, Creative Scotland, Green Carnation, Saltire Society, Petrona, Not the Booker and Desmond Elliott Awards. We’ll be exploring how this has all been achieved from a Highland base.
Free to attend, the seminar takes place from 12 noon for 12.30pm until approx 1.15pm with a networking buffet to follow.
There is the option to join in person or by video–conferencing from any of our study centres located across the partnership or via your desktop using Jabber for which we can give you access to the relevant software.
