The university's postgraduate conference provides the opportunity for all postgraduates at the university to come together in one location to help build the community across the 13 partner colleges. Comprising a social aspect, some learning, and presenting of your work, this is a great way discover what people do at the other university sites, who they are, and whether you might be able to help each other or work together one day.
The first day (afternoon only) will include an icebreaker session, followed by the poster session with some food and a drink. The second day will include invited speakers, student presentations in front of a friendly audience, and information and training from various university groups. The day will end with a conference dinner and ceilidh. The final day (morning only) will include further presentations and talks, awarding of prizes for best posters and talks, before finishing at lunchtime.
Accommodation will be organised for you for the nights of 6th and 7th November when you register, and food will also be provided. For transport please check appropriate websites (for trains/boats etc.) but car/minibus shares may be the best options for most people.
