Following his PhD, and brief post-doctoral research in Qatar and Australia, Andrew spent three years at the University of Nottingham as lead researcher on the small-scale biomass gasification strand of the UK/India EPSRC project: Rural Hybrid Energy Enterprise Systems. He has also worked as a consultant technical advisor on municipal solid waste gasification for UKWIN, and undertaken independent research on Victorian water wheel technology.
Andrew specialises in renewable energy: small-scale sustainable energy systems, production of energy from waste, gasification and thermal decomposition, reactor design, chemical reaction kinetics and characterisation.
