Northern Studies Virtual Conference

The 3rd Northern Studies Virtual Conference is due on Thursday, 21st August 2014.

This is a student-led conference, designed to give postgraduate students conference experience without the need to travel. The conference is managed via video-conferencing, and has participants from many parts of the UK. This conference was initiated by UHI Centre for Nordic Studies students and continues to be student-led.

This year's theme is "North-Scapes" and the programme boasts paper titles such as "Islandscapes of the North" (Dayanna Knight), "Shamanism as a poetic way of articulating being-in-the-North" (Michael J. A. Stachura) and "Webscapes - Communities Online" (Lydia Crow).

The conference starts at 9 AM and finishes at 5 PM on the 21/8/14.
