His role is focused on exploring opportunities for satellite applications in sectors such as digital healthcare, maritime, energy and the digital economy.
Jimmy undertook his graduate studies in Astrophyscis and History before joining the British Army in 2001. As an officer in the Royal Artillery he saw active service in Northern Ireland, Aghanistan and Libya and hung up his boots in 2012. He then undertook an MSc in Innovation and Technology Management before joining the team at the Satellite Applications Catapult. During his time at the Catapult he worked on the Space for Smarter Government Programme before taking on the role of Commercial Innovation Manager. This has seen him work with the Met Office, UK Space Agency, central government departments, and a wide variety of private enterprises.
