Marine Renewable Energy Research Day
The university is hosting an event on St Andrews day in the heart of Europe. Delegates are invited to attend this showcase event to hear an update on the university's marine renewables research. The University is active in a number of fields and would like to share some of their work across the following themes;
Resource and risk
The effects of marine renewable energy devices on the environment and ecology
The social, economic and policy dimensions of marine renewable energy
The MERIKA (Marine Energy Research Innovation and Knowledge Accelerator) project is sponsoring this breakfast event. It is an EU FP7 funded project that adds resource and infrastructure capacity across the University of the Highlands and Islands, complimented by a research exchange programme with leading European research institutions. MERIKA represents a cornerstone of the university’s marine renewable research activity.
