Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health
It may be one of Scotland’s smallest regions, but when it comes to Life Sciences and Education, Moray punches well above its weight.
The Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health, situated in Elgin, is a research, education and business hub. The Centre has been designed to bring together the expertise in Digital Healthcare and Life Sciences within the region and across Scotland. It is an alliance between Moray College UHI, Moray’s healthcare provider NHS Grampian, and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the economic development agency for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
Scotland is already the world’s only country with a digital health record for every member of the population. Moray’s population has an integrated health system from hospital to primary care practitioners and social care with the perfect mix of urban and rural communities. The region therefore is ideally placed to be a test bed for the future as it is easy to implement ideas quickly across the area.
The building provides teaching facilities for the college and houses medical research and training rooms used by NHS Grampian. The Centre is home to the seat of learning of the UHI Chair for Digital Health and provides the ideal venue for meetings, training or conferences.
