Human Resource Business Partner (Maternity Cover)

The Human Resources team is a small and busy team, providing a comprehensive service to the 350 direct employees of the university.
You will be joining at an exciting time as the university commences work on a major restructuring exercise. As HR Business Partner you will provide advice and support to managers and staff on a wide range of HR issues including employee relations, organisational development, change and performance management, disciplinary and grievance, recruitment and wellbeing.
You will be a committed HR professional with significant experience of operating at business partner level. You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging legislation, case law and HR best practice and have a proven track record of arriving at creative solutions to problems. The ability to build relationships with managers and employees at all levels and work collaboratively is essential as well as a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. You will have intermediate MS Office skills and possess the ability to interpret and analyse data and present information in a professional format.
An understanding and experience of higher education and the research environment is desirable and experience of change management would be advantageous.
