Sustainability Manager (Net Zero)

This position sits within the UHI Engagement Portfolio, whose remit is to enable UHI to be a connected organisation that pursues engagement with the people and the communities in which we work, always striving for mutual benefit.

An excellent opportunity exists for a sustainability and social responsibility professional to join the UHI engagement team on a full-time basis, to develop and implement our sustainability (Net Zero) and community engagement strategies.

The Sustainability Manager will lead on UHI’s Net Zero Project to ensure institutional legal compliance and plans are in place to meet agreed targets with regards to the organisations carbon emissions.

The Sustainability Manager will champion and develop ethical, environmentally friendly, and community-minded engagement, building links between UHI and the communities we serve, raising positive awareness of our commitment to sustainable social impact.

Working closely with the Advancement and Alumni Engagement, and Corporate Communications teams, the Sustainability Manager will develop, foster and nurture good relations with stakeholders, alumni and the wider public, and ensure UHI is recognised as a leader in sustainability and social development within the region.
