Web Development Officer (0.6 FTE)

The Web Development Officer will work as part of the webteam to assist in the development and delivery of UHI’s web presence. As a member of the webteam, you should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to develop great working relationships with a range of colleagues – many of whom are not experts in this field.
We’re looking for a candidate with experience of working on an enterprise website, preferably for a large or distributed organisation. The Web Development Officer is part of a team who together manage and support a web content management system (Terminal Four site manager), search (Funnelback), videography, a shared design approach for multiple websites, content management system (CMS) training and web analytics. This team works closely with colleagues in the wider corporate communications team to support the UHI partnership across a range of professional services for both project and ongoing initiatives. The team also delivers an internal consultancy service across the partnership supporting 10 websites.
This diverse role can touch on any of the following areas and more. We’d like to hear about your experience of these in your professional journey so far: accessibility, usability, design, HTML and CSS, client- and server-side script, databases, authentication, analytics, user-testing, data protection, copyright, consumer legislation, training, helpdesk call management.
