Healthy Body Healthy Mind

In 2018-19, the University and Highlands and Islands Student Association (HISA) participated in the Healthy Body Healthy Mind awards for the second time and were proud to be awarded a 3 star rating.

The awards are an initiative which will be led, from 2019 onwards, by Scottish Student Sport to promote and raise awareness of the link between sports, physical activity, smoking prevention and mental health.  This is done with the university and HISA working closely together on projects which aim to bring about practical change across the institution.

The University and its academic partners are delighted to be participating in the awards once again in 2019-20.

To meet the criteria of the awards a number of events are being planned across the institution, all of which relate to the themes of sports, physical activity, smoking prevention and mental health.
