Covid Support Funds
The institution has received additional funds to help students impacted by the COVID pandemic. These funds can support students who have are in financial hardship due to the impact of the pandemic, for example via lost employment or an increase in general living costs.
Winter Covid Fund
The Winter Covid Fund received in March 2021 has limited funds left.
This fund is available until Friday 30th July.
This fund is new for academic year 2021-22 and is to support students impacted financially by the pandemic. Applications are open until July 2022, or until funds are exhausted.

Both the above funds have the following eligibility criteria:
- Open to ALL students including FE, HE, International and EU.
- Must demonstrate financial hardship.
- Scottish and RUK students should be in receipt of some form of living cost support from SAAS or their home funding body first.
The university is sympathetic to the impact of the COVID pandemic on students and will consider applications on an individual need basis.
It is anticipated we will receive a high number of applications and Student Support teams will process them as quickly as possible. Once you have submitted your application form, please do not contact your local team unless you are contacted by them first.
You will be notified by either a letter to your Hub account or an email to your college email account if an award is made.
