Student Development Fund
Covid-19 – As no overseas travel is permitted for students or staff, and only essential work-related travel within the UK allowed, we have unfortunately taken the difficult decision to cancel the 30 April deadline.
Thanks to the generous support of donors to the University of the Highlands and Islands, the Student Development Fund has been established to ensure that UHI students do not miss out on exciting opportunities.
You may be offered the opportunity to take part in something which will advance your personal development, build on your knowledge and expand your horizons. We don't want you to miss out on these chances of a lifetime.
The Student Development Fund will enable more students to achieve their goals and enjoy their experience at UHI to the fullest.
How to apply
Applications are open to all registered UHI students across the network. If you would like to apply to the Student Development Fund, please complete the Application Form. Your application will only be considered if it includes a signed recommendation from your student support officer or student advisor as stated in the terms and conditions.
Your application should be in connection to your current course but should not be part of the curriculum. You are required to explain how you will benefit and how will it enhance your student experience at UHI.
Grants are made entirely at the discretion of the panel, and applicants will be informed of the outcome within one month of the deadline date.
Applications are considered twice a year. The deadline dates are:
- 31 October
- 30 April
Please note: late or retrospective applications will not be eligible so plan ahead!
