To help ensure that students do not miss out on exciting opportunities to advance their personal development, build their knowledge and enjoy their student experience to the fullest.
Deadline
30 April and 31 October every year
Thanks to the generous support of UHI donors, the Student Development Fund has been established to ensure that students do not miss out on exciting opportunities.
You may have the chance to take part in something which will advance your personal development, build on your knowledge and expand your horizons. We don't want you to miss out on due to financial constraints.
The Student Development Fund will enable more students to achieve their goals and enjoy their experience at university to the fullest.

Applications are considered twice a year. The deadline dates are:
- 30 April
- 31 October
Please note: late or retrospective applications will not be eligible so plan ahead!
Applications are open to all registered UHI students. Your application will only be considered if it includes a signed recommendation as stated in the terms and conditions.
Your application activity should be in connection to your current course but should not be part of the curriculum. You are required to explain how you will benefit and how will it enhance your student experience.
Grants are made entirely at the discretion of the panel and applicants will be informed of the outcome within one month of the deadline date.
