Dr Jim MacPherson invited to speak at the United Nations in New York
As part of the United Nations’ annual Commission on the Status of Women, Dr Jim MacPherson has been invited to speak at an event on ‘Women and Diaspora: From Past to Post-2015’. Hosted by the Armenian and Cypriot UN Representatives, Dr MacPherson will be speaking in New York about how public policy can be shaped by the historical precedent and example of women’s involvement in Irish diaspora organizations. The event is co-sponsored by the University of the Highlands and Islands and will be broadcast live by the United Nations on Monday 9th March here.
