What is special about this course?

The HND Hospitality Management will give you the knowledge and hands-on skills to succeed in a managerial position in the growing hospitality industry.

The course builds on knowledge gained in the HNC Hospitality, and enhances the focus on management and supervisory skills.

Special features

  • You will also have the chance to complete additional qualifications such as REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene Group Award, and a certificate in food service and accommodation service in partnership with The Gleneagles Hotel
  • You can study full time or part time to suit your personal and professional circumstances

Entry requirements

  • 2 Scottish Highers and 2 Standard Grades OR
  • 2 A levels at grade D or above
  • Alternatively, HNC Hospitality or Professional Cookery, or an S/NVQ at Level 3 in a relevant subject
  • Prospective students without the standard entry requirements as listed above are encouraged to apply
  • You may be invited to attend an interview

What can I do on completion of my course?

You will be suitably qualified to take up posts as a trainee manager in a medium or large hotel, or as a unit manager in industrial catering.

Can I progress into further study?

You may be able to progress to year 3 of the Hospitality Management BA (Hons) degree.
