Information for new and returning students

A warm welcome to the new academic year to everyone returning after the summer and especially to anyone joining us at the start of your studies.

This is a year of great opportunity for you. You will have the chance to learn from some of the best lecturers in the country, to explore your interests, and to make lifelong friends. I encourage you to take advantage of all that your time studying with us has to offer.

Get involved in the student associations’ clubs and societies, volunteer in your local community and take advantage of our many resources, including our fantastic careers centre. If you hit any bumps along the way, one of our core strengths lies in the support we provide our students, so please do reach out to student services who are here to help you every step of the way.

Our website contains lots of useful information about the support available and don’t forget to regularly check your emails, this is the email you applied with or your student email for information on induction and enrolment.

I have no doubt that you will also achieve great things this year and if there is anything more we can do to help or improve your experience even further, I want to hear about it via our Red Button feedback service.

Have a great year!
