This Professional Development Award in Computer Aided Draughting and Design (CADD) will provide you with the specialist knowledge and expertise to pursue a career in technical design.
It is a very practical course, available to study at Shetland UHI, that will give you the CADD skills relevant to industry standard applications.

Entry requirements

  • You should have a good understanding of AutoCAD packages, preferably using them in a professional capacity
  • Students who previously completed the Introduction to CAD class will also be considered

  • CAD principles
  • CAD 2D (i)
  • CAD 2D (ii)
  • CAD 3D
  • CAD visualisation, rendering and presentation

  • You will learn by way of face-to-face lectures and tutorials in the classroom, and practical exercises at Shetland UHI
