Entry requirements
- 3 Scottish Highers at grades BCC or above, preferably including Biology, Geography, Environmental Science, or Chemistry OR
- 2 A levels at grades BC or above, preferably including Biology, Geography, Environmental Science, or Chemistry
- Applicants with other qualifications or experience will be considered on an individual basis
Year 1 - CertHE
You will study the following core modules:
- Introduction to climate change and marine renewables
- Introduction to environmental science
- Introduction to marine biology
- Marine ecology practical skills
- Sustainable aquaculture and fisheries
How will I study my course?
- Full-time
- Part-time
- This course is mainly delivered in-person, on campus
- Any online study will be done via the university's virtual learning environment (VLE), with support from your tutors
- You will take part in a mandatory in-person induction in Scalloway before your course starts
How long will my course last?
- Full-time: 1 year @ 40 hours per week
- Part-time: 2 years @ 20 hours per week
