Our programmes are taught and examined in English. To make the most of your studies, you must be able to communicate fluently and accurately in English in an academic environment.
Therefore, you must provide certified proof of your English language abilities in listening, reading, speaking and writing. We accept a range of tests, including options for in-person or online testing.

Who does not need to provide an English language test score?
There are some circumstances in which applicants may not need to sit a test to evidence their English language ability, for example, if:
- you are from a country that the UK government classifies as majority native English speaking
- or, you hold a qualification equivalent to a UK degree from the past 5 years that was taught in English
- or, you have completed GCSE English, A-Level English, or International Baccalaureate in English
If you are unsure whether you meet any of the exceptions above, or which new test you may need to take, please speak to the Admissions team for advice.
