Biography

Hannah Hollinger

Based at the Centre for Health Science in Inverness, I work part time as a Lecturer within the Department of Nursing and Midwifery for The University of Highlands and Islands and am also a part time PhD student funded through the City Deal

I have worked within Neurosciences since 1997 and have 25 years nursing experience in a variety of fields ranging through, acute, rehabilitation, management, specialist and research nursing. I have specialized in the care management and research involving individuals with Motor Neurone Disease at a National level and continue to retain an interest in this area of care. I have been heavily involved in patient and public involvement initiatives and promote the involvement of patients throughout their care journey, and have been involved in developing educational resources to support them in managing their condition through evidence based methods. My PhD is focused on the management of Multiple Sclerosis fatigue using cold therapy.

My interests and experience are varied and extend into Health care law and ethics, cold water therapies and Complementary therapies.
