Entry requirements

  • 2 Scottish Highers at grade C or above OR
  • 2 A levels at grade D or above
  • Preferably in a science-based or technology-based subject and/or Business, Mathematics or English
  • PLUS 6 National 5 passes or equivalent, preferably in science-based or technology-based subjects
  • Alternatively, NPA to SCQF level 6 in Data Science, Business with Information Technology or Cyber Security
  • Direct entry to year 2 may be possible with an HNC Technologies in Business

Year 1 - HNC

Year 1 of the course is HNC Technologies in Business.

Year 2 - HND

Modules may include:

  • Business culture and strategy
  • Database server administration
  • Object-oriented programming
  • Relational database management systems
  • Social media for business

How will I study my course?

  • Full-time
  • Part-time (structured)
  • Part-time (unstructured)
  • You will learn through face-to-face tuition, as well as a combination of video conference lectures and tutorials, and online study via the university's virtual learning environment (VLE) which is supported by your tutors

How long will my course last?

  • Full-time: 2 years @ 40 hours per week
  • Part-time (structured): 4 years @ 20 hours per week
  • Part-time (unstructured): up to 6 years

Fees are payable in advance each academic year unless otherwise agreed.
