This page brings together a range of short Gaelic conversational clips featuring additional support for learners or non-speakers.
In each case the optional Closed Caption (CC) YouTube subtitles are enabled. These are in Gaelic, but users of laptop or desktop computers may choose to get them automatically translated into English or another language through the Settings Wheel. Gaelic learners can also alter the playback speed through the same mechanism if they wish to slow the recording down without distorting the pitch.
In addition, “wordlinked” Clilstore units are provided for each clip. These include the embedded video with a full Gaelic transcript, in which every individual word is clickable to link directly to an online dictionary translation. You can click on
