The Centre was established in 2005 as something slightly more than a traditional university department with a strong desire to support communities across the UHI region and a commitment to enabling those beyond the university to reflect on and represent the past today. Our lecturers and postgraduate research students engage energetically with our wider communities through their research, as well as with our graduates, friends and supporters through social media, regular newsletters, and an ambitious range of public talks and conferences, including our flagship online seminar series History Talks Live.
