The Directorate works collaboratively with academic partners to drive innovation in curriculum design, flexible and inclusive learning, and digital delivery, while ensuring robust academic standards and alignment with sector expectations (including QAA and tertiary enhancement activity). Through its integrated teams—such as the Learning and Teaching Academy and Academic Standards and Enhancement—it leads institution-wide initiatives that strengthen student success, support staff development, and enable continuous improvement in learning, teaching and assessment.

  • managing and supporting institutional engagement in external quality assurance and reporting activities (e.g. QAA TQER, QS reporting)
  • scheduling/conducting exam boards
  • liaison with external examiners

Reporting to, and working with, the Faculty Liaison Advisor, the Faculty Liaison Coordinator (Curriculum) will provide support for key aspects of the university's quality assurance processes with a particular focus on curriculum development, modification, approval and reapproval.
