At UHI we can offer a variety of routes into a teaching career.
With a degree you can apply to our Professional Graduate Diplomas in Education (PGDE) which you can study full time primary and secondary or part-time primary and secondary (provided you meet the subject entry requirements). We also offer a Gaelic pathway in primary and secondary teaching if you speak Gaelic fluently.
Sound interesting? Find out more by attending our ‘Open the door to your teaching career’ online seminar on Microsoft Teams on Thursday 19 February at 6.00pm. The event will be hosted by programme leaders Judith Munro, Hayley Barnett and Katie Wight and will cover:
- An introduction to UHI's teacher education programmes
- Overview of PGDE, including Gaelic-medium pathways for primary and secondary, full and part-time study
- How you’ll learn, how to apply and how placement opportunities work
- Frequently asked questions
- Audience questions
