Two Module Leader Induction Programmes will be held online via Microsoft Teams early in academic year 2026-27.
The programme has been devised to support new module leaders and module leaders who may wish an ‘update’, with contributions from across Faculties, Cognate Subject Groups, HISA, Library, Student Support and Academic Standards and Enhancement.
Colleagues are encouraged to attend both sessions, however this is not compulsory.

9.30 – 10.30: Familiarisation with student services and support: Nicola Smith Head of Student Services and colleagues in student experience.
10.30 – 10.40: Break
10.40 – 11.10: Retention -Academic and Pastoral Support: Dashboard: Nicola or Alana
11.10 – 11.45: Simon Varwell Director of Student Engagement and Representation HISA
11.45-11.50 Break
11.50 – 12.30: Some immediate Learning and Teaching Considerations:
