This webinar welcomed Frances Boylan, Head of eLearning Support and Development, and Dolores McManus, eLearning Support Officer, from Technological University Dublin to explore their experiences of implementing Brightspace at their university. The session shared feedback received from staff and students as part of a mid-pilot review, as well as feedback from those involved in the implementation team itself, highlighting lessons learned and their impact on decisions for go-live in September 2019.

Frances Boylan

France Boylan, TUD

Frances is Head of eLearning Support and Development at TU Dublin where she is responsible for the development of effective elearning practice across TU Dublin as a way to enhance the learning experience for students. She is also the Programme Manager for the current VLE Brightspace Implementation Project. She graduated from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick (NUI) with a BEd (Hons) and taught for a number of years at primary level before attending Trinity College Dublin to undertake an MEd, specialising in Educational Management, followed by an MSc in IT in Education. She pursued her Doctorate with the University of Sheffield.

Dolores McManus

Dolores McManus, DIT

Dolores graduated with a BA (Hons) in History & History of Art from UCD, followed by an MA in Design History and Material Culture from NCAD. She has recently completed two MA-level CPDs, in Higher Education Policy and Technology Enhanced Learning, Teaching and Assessment and is currently studying for an MSc in eLearning. Her role with the LTTC includes webcourses support, workshop co-ordination, general administration, communication and event management.
