Session Outline

The webinar will be twofold:

Firstly it will explore the prominence of academic and employer/industry collaboration, and its importance in preparing students and graduates for the world of work. It will outline key initiatives in place and examples from across Scotland.

Secondly, it will explore the role of the Curriculum Development and Employer Engagement Team, who have been put in place to support employer engagement and curriculum development across the university’s subject networks. Here we will give examples of work we’ve done to support curriculum development and enhance employer engagement, and facilitation of employability workshops led, or in collaboration with, employers.  We will also discuss the impact on student opportunity and development and some feedback from staff who have successfully engaged with the team.
