Session Outline

Effective student representation is a vital part of our quality assurance and teaching and learning enhancement processes.   It’s really important that the student voice is heard at all levels of study and across all modes of delivery and student representatives play an important role in making that happen through facilitating communication.

This session will set out the stages of a student representative’s lifecycle and the processes involved at each stage.  We will also highlight the value that student representatives can bring and how staff and students can work together to create positive experiences.

We would welcome all teaching staff to attend whether you are new to student representation, would like to improve how you work with student representatives, or have experiences of positive partnership working that you’d like to share with colleagues.

Presenters

The session will be delivered by Anna Templeton and Andrew Bowie of HISA’s Advocacy Team and supported by Aimee Harvey from UHI’s Student Services Team.
